Thank you to the volunteers that joined us for the first fall workday earlier this week. A new bench installed at Perry’s Point in Opacum Woods now offers both respite to hikers and a touching tribute to Perry Norris, a cherished friend and longtime supporter of Opacum Land Trust who passed away in May 2020.

The memorial bench, installed at the end of the White Trail, was made possible through the generous contributions of anonymous donors and friends who knew Perry.

The sturdy bench provides a peaceful spot for visitors to rest and reflect while enjoying the scenic views from Perry’s Point, a special place that now bears both his name and a lasting tribute to his conservation legacy.
